Red Oxide Primer

CORONA Red Oxide Primer is a solvent-based anti-corrosive primer designed to provide strong protection for metal surfaces. It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications, offering reliable coverage for steelwork, iron, and other metal structures.

This primer is formulated without lead and heavy metals, making it a safer choice while still delivering effective rust resistance. It helps enhance the durability of metal surfaces by preventing corrosion and improving the adhesion of subsequent topcoats.

  • Ensure new or previously painted surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, rust, dust, and other contaminants.
  • Remove any loose or previously applied paint from the surface.
  • Rub down the surface using suitable abrasive paper to achieve proper adhesion.
  • Clean the surface thoroughly with a cloth to remove all dust and residue.
  • Stir the product thoroughly before use for uniform consistency.

Application

Deploy skilled/experienced individuals for the application of paint. A few general instructions are given below.

The surface to be painted must be dry, clean and free from all contamination and efflorescent salts. Remove dirt, grease, and waxy material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper. Apply one coat of Happilac Perfect Primer and 2-3 coats of Happilac Vivid Emulsion Plus.

Safety Instructions

When applying paint, wear appropriate eye protection.

  • Cartridge mask, wear gloves, and goggles during application or sanding
  • Provide adequate ventilation during application and drying
  • Close container tightly after each use
  • In case of contact with eyes, flush with plenty of water and seek medical advice
