Sanding Sealer

CORONA Sanding Sealer is a nitrocellulose-based, fast-drying undercoat that penetrates deeply into wood grain fibers and effectively seals the surface. Its excellent bonding properties create a smooth base, making sanding easier and preparing the surface for subsequent finishing coats.

The sealer enhances and enriches the natural appearance of wood by highlighting and warming the grain. It is suitable for use on plywood, furniture, and bare timber surfaces, and can be applied over both new woodwork and previously finished surfaces.

  • Ensure new, bare, old, or previously painted surfaces are clean, dry, and free from wax, dust, rust, and other unwanted materials.
  • Prepare the surface by rubbing it down with suitable abrasive paper.
  • Brush down previously painted surfaces thoroughly and remove all dust.
  • Apply CORONA Sanding Sealer evenly to the prepared surface.
  • Allow the sealer to dry completely before further treatment.
  • Lightly rub down the surface with abrasive paper after each coat to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Remove sanding dust before applying the next coat.

Application

Deploy skilled/experienced individuals for the application of paint. A few general instructions are given below.

The surface to be painted must be dry, clean and free from all contamination and efflorescent salts. Remove dirt, grease, and waxy material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper. Apply one coat of Happilac Perfect Primer and 2-3 coats of Happilac Vivid Emulsion Plus.

Safety Instructions

When applying paint, wear appropriate eye protection.

  • Cartridge mask, wear gloves, and goggles during application or sanding
  • Provide adequate ventilation during application and drying
  • Close container tightly after each use
  • In case of contact with eyes, flush with plenty of water and seek medical advice
